Dammam Stadium: A Model for Sustainable Construction

The first major project under this agreement is already underway: the construction of the iconic Dammam Stadium. This state-of-the-art facility is being built using millions of CO₂-negative building blocks produced with our Carbstone® technology. These blocks not only reduce the stadium's environmental footprint but also capture and store over 2.7 million kilograms of CO₂ during production. This milestone highlights Carbstone®'s potential to revolutionize the construction industry by setting a new standard for sustainable building.

Knowledge Sharing and Long-Term Impact

Beyond its environmental benefits, this partnership emphasizes knowledge transfer and capacity building. Together with leading academic institutions such as King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) and UHasselt in Belgium, we are equipping the next generation of engineers with the expertise to apply Carbstone® technology. By fostering international academic collaboration, we ensure that this innovation continues to inspire and empower future leaders in sustainability.

The Power of Collaboration

This agreement is proof of what is possible when innovation and collaboration come together. Through our partnerships with Masterbloc, Al Kifah, and Aramco, we are not just creating sustainable infrastructure—we are laying the foundation for a greener future, block by block.

About Carbstone® Technology

Carbstone® technology transforms industrial by-products, such as steel slag, into CO₂-negative building materials. By using CO₂ as a binder during production, this process eliminates traditional energy-intensive curing methods while actively capturing and storing carbon. This makes it a groundbreaking solution for sustainable construction.

Looking Ahead

Dammam Stadium is just the beginning. As we look to the future, Orbix remains committed to expanding the reach of Carbstone® technology and enabling more sustainable construction projects worldwide. With the FIFA World Cup 2034 on the horizon and eleven additional stadiums planned in Saudi Arabia, we are excited to continue leading the way in innovation and sustainability in the built environment.
