The exceptionally pure SprimontBlue® is a high-quality, frost-resistant Belgian blue limestone.
It is quarried in one of the oldest and most beautiful blue limestone quarries near Liège, with respect for the environment, by stone quarry workers who have passed down their craft from generation to generation. The artisans at Sprimont combine centuries-old expertise with cutting-edge technologies.
The stone contains numerous fossil remains, which create shimmering facets in the light. Crinoids (sea lilies), corals, and shells stand out clearly against a dark matrix that, depending on the finish, ranges from light gray to black, with a whole spectrum of blue shades in between.
